Our story

Why We Started Haggai Zuriel

Many years ago, we were faced with a shocking reality when we relocated from Ikotun, where our children had been collecting the best results in all subjects. We later realised what they had been doing was just cramming what they could not identify or relate with. It affected them, and we had no choice but to step them down. We found a school that used the right methodology to ensure real learning took place. It was a painful experience, but we are grateful to God we corrected it on time. Our first two children are now in their Master’s programmes, and the last is in his final year.

This experience birthed Haggai Zuriel Schools, 15 years ago. Every child has a right to good, qualitative education, irrespective of location. Haggai is a place where each child is treated in their uniqueness, with a one child policy giving them the attention needed to bring out their best. Talents are discovered early and nurtured through activity-based learning, and parents are carried along every step of the way, through parents’ fun days, open days and regular forums.

There are schools, but there is a school that stands out. If it is not Haggai, it can never be like Haggai.

Testimonials

In their own words

“Before Haggai Zuriel, Adebayo struggled with reading comprehension. Within six months of joining the Nursery, his confidence soared. He’s now reading independently, and his love for books is truly inspiring. The Nelson handwriting has also made his writing incredibly neat. We couldn’t be prouder.”

“Choosing Haggai Zuriel was the best decision for our twin girls, Chioma and Chidinma. Their unique methodology truly clicked with them. They’re not just memorising facts, they truly understand concepts and can explain them in their own words. The holistic development is evident in their improved confidence and leadership qualities.”

“My child, Femi, has blossomed at Haggai Zuriel. The teachers genuinely care, and the emphasis on spiritual growth alongside academics has made a profound difference. He’s more disciplined, articulate, and shows a remarkable ability to own his learning. The school lives up to its promise of raising future leaders.”

“Haggai Zuriel School was more than just a place of learning, it was where I first discovered my voice, my confidence, and the importance of faith and excellence. Everything I am becoming is rooted in the foundation that Haggai Zuriel laid in me: a foundation of love, discipline, and unshakable belief in my dreams.”
